An inspirational feature documentary about a youth-led cross-country road trip to gather grassroots support for the Australian Indigenous Voice referendum.
Melbourne International Film Festival Audience Award Winner and the first major Australian documentary to chronicle the journey of the Voice referendum.
This beautiful film follows a group of indigenous youth on a road trip, guided by their mentors from Deadly Inspiring Youth Doing Good (DIYDG) from Cairns in Far North Queensland - the traditional home of the Yidinji and Yirrganydji peoples.
Their mission, to nuture future leaders and build a grassroots campaign advocating for the 2023 βYesβ vote to parliament.
Packed in a minibus, the group make a 3000 kilometre pilgrimage to the annual Freedom Day festival - to commemorate a historic 1966 civil rights victory.
En route, they share their life experiences and those of their families. But while they seek to inspire a new future, the resulting vote seemingly closes one chapter and begins another, in an ongoing fight for rights.
